The Kevin R. Blandford Memorial Pipe Band is based in Upland in Southern California’s Inland Empire. It began in 1974 as the City of San Bernardino Pipe Band and was later renamed to recognize sponsor R.P. Blandford & Son and the musical legacy of Kevin R. Blandford.
The organization fields Grade 3 and Grade 4 bands, competes in the western United States and internationally, and performs at concerts, parades, church services, graduations, and other community events. Weekly instruction helps aspiring pipers and drummers prepare to join the band.
The band also presents Celtic Christmas, combining pipes and drums with seasonal music and guest performers.
