The Tempe Police Pipe Band is the ceremonial color guard for the Tempe Police Department. The band also represents law-enforcement personnel from across Arizona at memorial services, parades, civic occasions, and public performances throughout Arizona and the Southwest.
The band operates through the Tempe Police Department’s Volunteers in Policing program. Experienced pipers, drummers, and Highland dancers age 21 or older may apply, while serious beginner and intermediate students are also welcomed. Candidates must meet the requirements of the volunteer program.
