The Glen Erin Pipe Band was first incorporated as the Heather Pipers in 1972. It became the MacLeod of Lewis Pipe Band in 1977 and merged with the Clan MacNeil Pipe Band in 1984 to become Glen Erin.

The New Hampshire School of Scottish Arts Pipes and Drums Band was formed in 2002. The band’s musical director is P/M Gordon Webster, former piper to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The band consists of players from the New England area and has quickly established itself as a dominant musical force within the Northeast. A second band has been formed at Grade 5 level for pipers and drummers not quite ready to jump into the Grade 4 Band. In total the two bands have over 70 members.

In October, 1966, four pipers and one drummer gathered at the Canadian Legion Hall in Lorain for the first practice of what had already been named the Lochaber Pipe Band. Over the next few weeks, others joined them and by the end of the year the founder’s roll of the Lochaber Pipe Band was complete. The first engagement of the Band was a Social Night sponsored by the Canadian Legion, Post 54.
