The New Hampshire School of Scottish Arts Pipes and Drums Band was formed in 2002. The band’s musical director is P/M Gordon Webster, former piper to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The band consists of players from the New England area and has quickly established itself as a dominant musical force within the Northeast. A second band has been formed at Grade 5 level for pipers and drummers not quite ready to jump into the Grade 4 Band. In total the two bands have over 70 members.

Queen City Pipes and Drums
The Queen City Pipes & Drums came about thanks to the dedication of local pipers and drummers in the Charlotte area who wanted to promote the Great Scottish Highland Bagpipes and its percussion accompaniment to the younger generations.

Durham College Pipe Band
The Durham College Pipes and Drums has been a non-competitive teaching band which was established in February of 2005. This year (2023) we have decided to try our hand at competing at the Grade 5 level in three Highland Games: Georgetown, Cambridge and Fergus. We will continue to perform as a street marching band in several local events. Check out the “Engagements” listing for dates and times. The band welcomes both experienced and novice pipers and drummers.

notre dame bagpipe band
The Notre Dame Bagpipe Band can trace its roots to the early 1950’s, when the Irish Guard originally came into existence as a bagpiper unit in the Notre Dame Marching Band. While the Irish Guard, with their stature and marching ability, impressed many people, their discovery that the bagpipes do not perform well in the cold that comes with the late fall in South Bend. Therefore, the bagpipes became abandoned, and the Irish Guard remained.
