The Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band is one of the leading pipe bands in the world, and the most influential and successful pipe band from Northern Ireland ever. Led by Pipe Major Richard Parkes MBE, Pipe Sergeant Alastair Dunn and Drum Sergeant Keith Orr, the band has won every major championship title available, including 12 World Pipe Band Championships, three ‘Grand Slams’, 14 Champions of Champions titles, 25 All Ireland Championships and 67 RSPBA major championship titles.

African Skye SA
The African Skye Pipe Band was officially formed in January 1998, by a number of pipers and drummers who had left the Witwatersrand Rifles Pipe Band in September the previous year. Between September and November 1997, these committed musicians used to meet at Rory Bellingan’s house at 145 Queen Street, Kensington, Johannesburg, to practice and debate a name and tartan for the new band. In November 1997, Rory moved to 333 Highland Road, Kensington and this weekly ritual continued there.

The Portuguese Bagpipe Society has one of the most demanding and qualified bagpipe courses in Portugal, developing portuguese bagpipes and traditional portuguese bagpipe repertoire, as well as international, for begginers or experienced pipers. The School of Gaitas has evolved, since has some years, as one of the activities most important of the Gaita-de-Foles Association. Beyond the inquiry or spreading of the Portuguese and international património of Gaita-of-bellows, the best way to give to know a musical instrument is to teach it. The objective of the School of Gaitas is to always provide an adequate formation correcta and of this instrument, having in account the motivation, vocation and creative necessities of each pupil. Gaita-de-foles is the portuguese word for Bagpipe.

clan macnaughton pipe band
The Clan MacNaughton Pipe Band was formed in 1972 and adopted the MacNaughton name and tartan because of the Clan affiliation of the band’s first Pipe Major. The band operated as a teaching band until 1987 when it changed to a non-competition format, concentrating on public and private performances, parades and Remembrance Day ceremonies.
