southwest skye pipes & drums
Southwest Skye was created in 2007 after a couple years of instruction by Michael Donelson to two students in Williams. The trio decided to create a bagpipe band for Northern Arizona, and several bagpipers and drummers jumped on board with the idea - creating the Southwest Skye Pipes & Drums, a 501(c)3-registered organization. Members range from beginning to top-notch pipers, coming from Prescott, Chino Valley, Ash Fork, Williams, Sedona, Cottonwood, and Sedona. This Band has developed over the past couple years with Michael Donelson serving as Pipe Major of the band and Geoff Pavey as Drum Sergeant, and has performed at the local Highland Games of Camp Verde, Prescott, and Flagstaff, as well as at memorials and other private gigs. We are available for any gig that would like a larger group of bagpipers and drummers for a performance in the Northern Arizona area. See the website for more information on our group.
