The objective is to promote the music and history of the Scottish soldiers and their Regiments during their time in Northern France and the Somme Area in 1914/1918, but also during the second World War, where many of them paid the ultimate price.

Branch 58 Royal Canadian Legion Pipes and Drums
The Pipes and Drums of Branch 58 Royal Canadian Legion was founded in 1927, the same year the Branch received its charter and one year after the founding of the Legion nationally. Thus, with over 96 years of continuous operation, it is one of the oldest, if not “the oldest,” Legion pipe bands in Canada. The founding pipe major was John (Jock) MacFarlane.
