King Shaka Regiment (formerly Durban Regiment) is a reserve force regiment of the South African National Defence Force. Our band members are all volunteers, who play for the regiment at official occasions for enjoyment.

Pietermaritzburg Caledonian Pipe Band
The Pietermaritzburg Caledonian Pipe Band was started in 1918 as a living memorial to the fallen in the First World War. We practice on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Grace College in Hilton. A family and community Focused Band.
