BAND PRACTICE ON TUESDAY EVENINGS

Northern Constabulary Community Pipe Band is a voluntary group of musicians drawn from the Police family and members of the public of the City of Inverness and around the Highlands and Islands. We play and practice in our own free time throughout the year at Police Headquarters, Inverness on TUESDAY evenings.

The Band is funded through fundraising by members, sponsorship, grants, and fees & donations from performances.

The Band was set up in October 2002 and made its first public performance in the Summer of 2003 at the Isle of Skye Pipe Band Festival. Since then the Band has performed at a variety of locations around the Highlands & Islands, and beyond, including at the Scottish Community of the Year Awards in Edinburgh.

In 2007, the Band also won the Scottish Pipe Band Championship at Grade 4-B and was placed 3rd in that Grade at the European Championships. For 2008 the Band was promoted to Grade 4-A.

The Band wears the SCOTTISH NATIONAL MODERN tartan.

Subject to availability (evenings and weekends only), we are more than pleased to perform for charitable events and concerts, as well as at (fee-paying) public or private functions.
