The purpose of High Desert Pipes and Drums is simple: to promote, practice, and perform bagpipe music and pipe band drumming at the highest possible level. We offer our distinctive music to the Albuquerque community and throughout the region in a variety of performance contexts, including parades, memorial services, exhibitions, fairs, cultural events, and competitions. The organization consists of members ranging from novices to award-winning competitors.

Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers
The Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers have been a fixture at the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race and throughout the Midwest since 1962. Our band is a diverse group of individuals brought together for a common cause, to promote and share with the public the heritage of Scottish/Celtic culture and music. With the primary emphasis being the performance of bagpipe and drum music we hope to educate, entertain and enlighten those who see us perform. Through instruction and fellowship we hope to help others further their understanding and appreciation of the Scottish/Celtic culture.

Mackenzie Highlanders Pipes and Drums of Iowa is an all-volunteer, non-profit, bagpipe and drum band located in the Des Moines, Iowa metro area. The band supports first responders, fire departments, law enforcement, and active and reserve military units. We perform at events supporting these groups, and at other local events and parades.
