The City of Memphis Pipe Band was formed to contribute to the civic and cultural betterment of Memphis, Tennessee through the teaching, promoting and performing of traditional bagpipe and drum music. The band is available for hire… From solo pipers for weddings, funerals, and any number of celebratory events, to mini bands or even the full band for a parade or corporate event. THE BAND IS AVAILABLE. Interested in learning the bagpipes or drums? Our members strive to uphold this long standing tradition to the highest of standards while mixing in the heart and soul of Memphis and we need our community to help keep it alive for years to come. We are currently looking for new pipers and drummers and offer free weekly lessons.

iowa scottish pipes and drums
The Iowa Scottish Pipes and Drums are based in Des Moines, IA, and were founded originally from the membership of the Iowa Scottish Heritage Society in 1975. Over the last thirty years the band has played for many high profile events, including the Archbishop of Canterbury’s visit to Iowa, the Inaugural Ball for the Governor of Iowa, the World Scottish Festival in Montreal and the Victorian Society national convention. In 2011 and again in 2015, a small group of ISP&D members played at the Capitol for the newly inaugurated Governor of Iowa’s Open House.

St. Andrew’s College is an Anglican high school for boys located in Makhanda (Grahamstown), Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It was founded in 1855 by the Right Reverend John Armstrong, the first Bishop of Grahamstown. It is a semi-boarding school, with a number of day boys. St. Andrew’s College caters to 480 pupils from around the globe. The school is also a member of the G30 Schools group and closely associated with its brother school, St. Andrew’s Preparatory School, and its sister school the Diocesan School for Girls.
