The Guelph Pipe Band was formed in 1922, and has been continuously active since that time. Its members are proud to wear the McCrae tartan in honour of Colonel John McCrae, a native of Guelph, Ontario, and the author of In Flanders Fields.

White Heather Pipes & Drums
The band was started in 1990 by Pipe Major Bob Dunsmore. In 2006, Bob stepped down as Pipe Major and Bill Allison was elected as his replacement. A few years later, Bill stepped down to pursue other interests and David Veitch was elected Pipe Major.
