Roddy MacDonald Composes a Lament for Alex Duncan

Australia-based piper and composer Roddy MacDonald wrote Lament for Alex Duncan in memory of the young Pitlochry piper. In a report published on 12 January 2021, the Daily Record said John Dew first performed the piobaireachd at the Glenfiddich Piping Championship at Blair Castle, Scotland, in October 2020, with Alex’s parents present.
