Lyons Bagpipes & Highland Supplies saw its inception in Rowville, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia in October 1996.
Ian Lyons was teaching a Grade 3 & Juvenile pipe band called Moorabbin City Pipe Band. There came a time when the band required some new uniform items and instrument parts. Ian having a few contacts overseas where he could obtain these items, decided to set forth to purchase them. After doing this for the band on a few occasions he started up the same service for other local bands and pipers interested in purchasing new equipment.
Lyons Bagpipes & Highland Supplies quickly grew into a small business and by mid 1997 was up and running as a reputable source of equipment for pipers and pipe bands all over Australia. Since then this enterprise has grown to service pipe bands and pipers all over the World.
In 2002 Lyons Bagpipes & Highland Supplies began to look further into the pipe band market and made a decision to move into the design, developement and production of it’s own products. These exclusive products are now recognised Worldwide which has placed Lyons Bagpipes & Highland Supplies on the map for service, expertise and superb quality.
